I’m ashamed to say that my kids didn’t do any workboxes on Thursday or today L yesterday we spent the day with my sister, I Figures that seeming T and my niece both had doctor’s appointments and my sister needed my help with something I would give the kids the day off.  Then they had today off as well because I had my essay to finish for uni, so the last two days the kids have spent entertaining bout themselves and each other.  But then again I guess that the beauty of homeschooling is that we can adapt our days to what fits in with our families J

Tomorrow I will be taking my eldest 12yo DD T , and two of her friends to the local Art Gallery.  I rang the gallery to arrange an excursion for our homeschooling group next month, and while on the phone they mentioned that They had a Textiles show on now that was about to close.  After thinking about it for a couple of days I decided to take T this weekend and invited a couple of her friends.

I’m posting these photos later than I usually do but below are the photos of the kids Wednesday workboxes.  I haven’t given them as many workboxes today as I have an essay due for uni, so cut back on the workboxes and have sent the kids outside to play/ ride their bikes.

You will notice that I haven’t posted any new pictures for F, the reason for this is that I leave her with the same boxes until SHE decides she wants them changed.  There will be new things in most of her boxes tomorrow as she has decided that after doing the activities again today she wants something new in her boxes tomorrow

We will be out in the morning tomorrow so we will only be doing a few work boxes.

I spent today getting the kids workboxes ready for school today, and think we are finally organised enough to start the new year.  So I thought I would post photos of the workboxes for our firs Monday back to work.

The photo below is of T and L’s workboxes.

The two workboxes above are for the older two kids to do with their 3yo sister while waiting for my help.

I have just posted our new subject cards.  We had up until now been using only number cards on the front of our workboxes, but have found that our eldest has wanted to know what subjects she would be studying on any given day.  To solve this problem I have created subject cards to join our workbox numbers on the front of the kids workboxes.

I also created WORK WITH cards, the idea of which is that the child that gets this card in their workbox has to work with the person whose photo is attached to the card.  I will laminate photos of myself and the kids and use these photos to indicate who the child receiving the WORK WITH card is to spend time with working on the activity in their box.
